Monday we took a bus tour into New York City from the campground. It was over an hour ride each way and made for a long day. Our guide was great at pointing our things along the way and talking about the history. Our first stop was for 15 minutes in Times Square near Broadway which wasn't enough time to see very much. Next was the historic area of Wall Street and Ground Zero. Our guide led 33 of us on a walking tour through the crowd for over an hour. We saw the building where Washington took the oath of office as our first president, TrumpTower, Tiffany's and Ground Zero including the reflecting ponds with all the names. Then it was on to Liberty State Park in NJ for the ferry ride to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty which was over 2 hours. We saw a lot in the short time we had before the bus brought us back to campground. We went through the Lincoln Tunnel going and the Holland Tunnel returning. We met for the bus at 7:45 and returned about 6:30 all worn out.
